They're difficult to contact, but the system won't ask you the same set of questions. Lastly, yes, Ford Credit's phone line will only let you speak to a customer service rep after you've rejected the options to "self-service." You actually will have to answer the same question three time. You don't know what's going on with the account, and they can't be bothered to spring for a payment software that interfaces with the bank account to see if they've been input right. So basically what you have is a payment software that cannot accurately report that status of your payment or even generate an invoice/transaction statement with the correct terminology. Whoever designed the programs that send out these messages is either incompetent beyond belief, or they went a great deal of to make sure you as the customer has no way of rectifying payment errors. not that the entire payment was rejected. I get that mistakes happen on both side, but when you're being told "payment received" and "payment refunded" it means funds were drawn from the account. Ford doesn't let you edit bank account info (so for all I know the numbers could have been right).Īnd she acts like I should have known that I had made a mistake when they wrote me "payment has been received" as if they had drawn the funds, then reversed the transaction (note that reversing a transaction does not mean the same thing as rejected payment because of insufficient funding or inability to even contact the bank). Then on the phone, I'm told by a customer rep that my bank account is wrong. I'm assuming this is a problem on their end. Ford Motor Credit does not know even basic financial terms required to generate a proper invoice.Īfter changing my bank info on the website, I got a statement with "payment has been received."
